Of relatively flat, trencher form. with touchmark to front rim of Thomas Curtis, London (fl.1520-1559)

In 1558 Thomas Curtis was elected Lord Mayor of London. He was knighted the following year. Very similar plates by Curtis were discovered on the Mary Rose, which sank in the Solent in July 1545.
