Ash, with elm seat and traces of reddish-brown and black paint, particularly to the rear.
The back of seven long tapering spindles, drawn together and held in place by a particularly decorative cresting rail, namely double-rounded ends and slightly dished upper profile, the three-part arm bow with splayed and rounded ends, supported on four further spindles and addorsed baluster-turned end support, flanking a deep and flat-fronted saddle-seat, on four splayed and hand-facetted legs, mortice and wedged through the seat and joined by an elliptical-turned H-form stretcher.
