With remains of original block-printed post Restoration lining papers, designed with the crowned Royal Arms of England within the Garter and the royal cypher 'CR' for Charles II, along with scrolling stylised foliage in the manner of contemporary needlework, the single-piece lid with chip-carved ends, the front and sides carved with large half-flower filled lunettes, highlighted with punched-decoration, the single-piece base board extending to a chamfered edge.
